Debbie Arnold, M.Ed.Owner/Training Specialist/Presenter
The Preventive Tobacco Education Program was created by Debbie in loving memory of her precious Daddy who died from heart failure due to emphysema. She has trained over 900 educators and over 550,000 students have seen her Program to date. Debbie became involved with the American Institute for Preventive Medicine and started teaching their Adult Tobacco Cessation Program known as SMOKELESS in 1999. It gives her great pleasure to see smokers quit and to be proud of themselves at the end of the Program. She was, also, a wellness phone coach for AIPM and a health coach at Biometric Screenings. The State of Texas passed Senate Bill 55 in 1997 for minors in possession of tobacco products called the Texas Youth Tobacco Awareness Program (TYTAP). Debbie and her Team served students in four locations in hopes of making a change in our youth. Debbie was a TYTAP Leader for 16 years. Debbie is a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. She is a Certified Facilitator with the State of Texas (TYTAP), Community Intervention, and American Institute for Preventive Medicine (SMOKELESS). Debbie is, also, a PTSA Life Member and is Who's Who Among Teachers. Debbie has a consistent record of high achievement with 42 years of experience in Education as well as 19 years in the business community. She is an experienced public speaker with extended communication skills. Debbie worked with a school district for 22 years before she became involved with Tobacco Education. Since that time, she has dedicated her career and efforts to touch as many lives as possible with a smoke-free lifestyle. Debbie has been a teacher, counselor, and an assistant principal.
